Thought:

If a picture is worth a thousand words, a graph is worth ten thousand, and a diagram a million. Illustrate whenever you can.

Why? How?

I write a lot. I read, a ton. But when I’m browsing the internet, nothing beats a simple diagram.

Since about 65% of the population are visual learners, whenever you include pictures, graphs or diagrams on your website, you appeal to people’s power of visualization.

Why do images work?

Because people relate to images. Images can create instant connections. An image of someone relaxing on a couch describes peace, serenity, free time, happiness, comfort all at once.

Similarly, if your product or service requires a few steps, using icons and arrows makes it really easy for a prospective user to understand the flow. It’s as simple as 1, 2, 3.

So when you design, favor images, diagrams, and descriptive graphs when you can.

Best of luck! And let me know how I can help.
